Mental Health Centers

Every day we achieve important breakthroughs here.

From the beginning, NYPCC has been committed to increasing access to mental healthcare service and improving the quality of life in the Bronx, Bushwick and East New York—communities where residents for too long lacked access to quality therapeutic services.

Each center offers a warm, child-friendly environment where patients and their families feel safe and welcome. All three locations provide quality care 7 days a week with extended hours to make it easier for families to come after school or work. Same-day appointments are available so individuals can get the care they need when they need it. Our centers are conveniently located near public transportation to make it as easy as possible for our clients to get to us. Telehealth services are also available by telephone or video.

The centers are staffed by bilingual, multicultural clinicians, many of whom have grown up or currently live in the communities we serve. Our staff members have a cultural understanding and sensitivity to our clients’ needs—a factor we believe is essential to developing a positive therapeutic relationship.

NYPCC’s staff are highly skilled and trained professionals, including board-certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, mental health counselors, and creative art therapists who use the latest evidence-based practices. They’re passionate about their work and it shows in what they do every day.

What our clients have to say:

I feel lighter, as if the world was taken off of my shoulders.

— Older Adult

You don't have to be crazy to go to therapy, you have to have willpower. I learned to say no and see things differently—to think better about things around me, like family, health, and medication.

— Adult

I learned no more baby talk. If something is wrong, tell somebody. If a person is bothering you, tell them to stop—or go to a parent or teacher. I’ve stopped fighting with my brother and stopped lying. And I’ve started eating healthy.

— Child with ADHD

NYPCC taught me how to control my anger by breathing in and out. I learned that I don't have to talk to strangers, and cannot let anybody touch parts of my body. I talk to my mom, sister and therapist now.

— Child with trauma from sexual abuse
