Reminders for Your Virtual Session via Doxy

Before Your Session 
  • Text Reminder: You will receive a text message with a link 15 minutes before your session.
  • Join Early: Please join the video session 5 minutes before your appointment to check the audio and video.
  • Session Duration: Our intake sessions are 45 minutes long—please remain available for the entire duration.
  • Battery Check: Plug in your phone/tablet, as video sessions drain battery quickly.
During Your Session 
  • No Calls or Other Apps: Using other apps or answering calls will disconnect you from Doxy.
  • Incoming Calls: Set your phone to Do Not Disturb mode to prevent disruptions.
  • Guardian Requirement: If the session is for a minor (under 18), a biological parent or legal guardian with custody must be present. Other family members cannot take their place.
Your Session Cannot Be Conducted If: 
  • You are outdoors
  • You are in a public place (e.g., subway, store, salon, restaurant, lobby, etc.)
  • You are in a moving vehicle (e.g., Uber, train, bus)
  • Other people are around you
  • You are experiencing internet/WiFi issues
How to Set Up Camera & Microphone in Doxy 
  • On a cellphone? Touch the screen, and icons will appear. Click the camera and microphone icons to allow access.
