On Wednesday, July 13th, 2022, NYPCC and its Community Outreach Team held the Second Annual Anti-Bullying Resource Fair at the Patterson Houses in the Bronx.  The fair, sponsored by the Bronx Anti-Bullying Coalition in partnership with the NYC Office of Neighborhood Safety, was founded by NYPCC several years ago to address the rise in bullying in our schools and across the borough.  The event featured live music, performances, guest speakers, and educational activities to raise awareness and offer resources from dozens of community-based organizations for families and youth.

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school-aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. It is considered one of the most common forms of violence in schools: 33% of U.S. elementary students reported being bullied often while at school.

NYPCC is proud of our work in coming together with community partners to prevent bullying and offer families ways to get help.
