For over 40 years, NYPCC has partnered with the NY State Department of Health to provide mental health services at some of its licensed adult homes – where individuals with serious and persistent mental illness live in a social setting, and are provided with the basic life sustaining services to enable them to take the step from inpatient treatment to independent living.
Through the use of evidence-based practices, NYPCC’s staff of mental health professionals enable these adults to gain insight into their mental illness, manage their symptoms, and acquire the skills necessary to re-enter the community and live and work in a more independent setting.
The services we provide include:
- Verbal Therapy
- Medication Education
- Medication Management
- Medication Self-Administration
- Self Advocacy
- Case Management
- Symptom Management
- Referral Services, as appropriate
